Construction is underway at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora

untitled-2

If you’ve been to the Medora Musical this summer you may have noticed progress on the building of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library to the west of the parking lot.  The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation purchase 90.3 acres of land from the U.S. Forest Service last year to construct the T.R Library.    According to Edward O’Keefe, CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library , “TR’s library should be the people’s library, not a box in the Badlands with artifacts under glass; like TR’s life, this library must be an experience. We are building a presidential library in the 2020s, not the 1920s, that will last in perpetuity. We can embrace immersive storytelling and new technologies, and build a first-of-its-kind digital library for an analog president. This museum can be a platform for embracing civic dialogue, thoughtful debate, and inspiration from around the globe

A grand opening is set for July 4, 2026, the 250th anniversary of America and the Declaration of Independence.
