The Marmarth Post Office has closed, according to a notice of closure posted on the post office entrance. The notice directs postal customers to either visit the Rhame or Bowman post office locations for more information.
“We are trying to resolve this,” reads a handwritten note added to the bottom of the closure notice. “Until then, mail can be picked up in Rhame.”
According to an article on KFYR TV’s website, the post office closed indefinitely “because of the high costs of keeping it open”.
I have reached out to multiple sources, including the other post offices in the area, but no one has been able to provide information on the closure thus far. We will update this story as it develops.
