Baker’s original hospital building has survived 108 years.  The hospital was built in 1915 by Elizabeth Scott, who homesteaded to
Baker from Chicago.  The original hospital was named after her and closed sometime in the mid 50’s. Since then, the house has been owned by a number of private individuals, and is currently owned by Melissa and Roy Rost who plan on giving it some tender loving care!  Melissa will be portraying Elizabeth Scott during the O’Fallon Historical Museum’s  “Night at the Museum”  this Sunday.  Other performers include Alyson Lineback who will portray Beth McElfresh,  and  Shanya Stoddard, who will share the story of Ella Roget Fost.  Doors open at 5:30 Sunday evening.
