The Baker Police Department and the Fallon County Sheriff’s Office held a bike and pedestrian safety event for Baker students in kindergarten through sixth grades on Monday.
At the event, officers from both the police department and sheriff’s office utilized a course built on the Longfellow school parking lot to teach students about bicycle and pedestrian safety. Lessons included yielding procedure and reminders to always wear a helmet.
Upon conclusion of the event, the officers raffled away new bikes and helmets.
