Hail Storm hits Beach Wednesday Night!

Wednesdays storm predictions, unfortunately came true for Beach residents.  Beach was hit with winds reported up to 75 miles per hour and hail the size of ping pong balls.

The southeast side of Beach was hit the hardest with damage to houses, vehicles and trees.  Of the 3 cemeteries, the Beach Cemetery received the most damage with items strewn throughout the east half of the cemetery.

Beach residents wasted no time in starting the cleanup process with a large part of the tree damage cleared away by early evening Thursday.

Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries.

Out of respect for the property owners, I have cropped my pictures to only show you the main damage to their property.   The last photo was shared by a Beach resident.

Other areas received pea size hail and heavy rain.  In visiting with area residents, I have heard rain reports from 1.75 in Golva, to 1.25 in Baker, and anywhere from two to four inches in the Ollie/Carlyle area.
