Another Successful year for Heritage Fest in Baker!

The O’Fallon Historical Museum hosted the 4th Annual Heritage Fest this past Saturday in Baker.  It was a beautiful day to wader around the grounds, visit with the various vendors, listen to music, and tour the buildings.  Activities included learning how to make butter, wagon rides,  enjoying the music of “The Figuring It Out Band” family band from Minnesota,  and letting kids have fun at the petting zoo.   I’ve been to the museum a few times, but this time, I toured a building I had never been in. They were giving demonstrations of an old hand set printing press and how it could print fancy letters on napkins.   If you didn’t get a chance to go to the festival this year,  I would recommend you go next year, or take time to visit the museum.  I find something new to look at every time I go.  Hats off to Melissa and all the volunteers that worked so hard to setup the festival.
