Plevna’s community football field workdays kicked off this morning, paving (well, sodding) the way for football to return to the Cougar’s home field for the first time in 48 years.
Cougar football team members worked alongside coaches and community members to lay sod across the field today, part of preparations leading up to Plevna’s Mon-Dak home game on Saturday, September 7th. Varsity kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. that day, junior high at 10 a.m.
Community workdays are scheduled to continue through Wednesday, July 31st at the football field north of Plevna School, with work beginning at 7 a.m. each day.
