The Baker Bowling Center has changed hands, and renovations are under way with a prospective re-opening of October 1st.
Jon and Alissa Miller, Baker business owners since 2004, added to their conglomerate when they bought Baker’s bowling alley in February. Now they’ve been acting on big plans for the building’s facelift.
“Total inside renovation,” is how the Millers described the project. “Including a brand new kitchen, flooring throughout, bathrooms, new bowling lanes, new furniture, new pinsetter machines, new scoring system.” Along with the numerous remodeling and improvement projects, the couple is planning on adding additional entertainment including golf simulators, another pool table, dart boards, and a large screen which will interact with scoring as well as be used to show various video entertainment. A previously closed-off outdoor space will also be made available for patio-style seating.
“The new name will be Fairway Lanes,” said the Millers. “Our goal is to not just have a business, but a place that is welcoming to all.”
The Millers plan to have social media pages up and running as they advance through the renovation process.
