Welcome to episode ten of the Big Skies and Bad Lands Outdoor Show! On this episode we discuss rock hunting on the Yellowstone River with long-time guide Eddie White of the Montana Agate Shack in Forsyth, Montana.
The Yellowstone is an alluring rockhounding destination with agates, petrified wood, and more to be found on its banks. Eddie shares some information with us such as the best times of year to search for rocks, and whether or not an area can truly be "picked over" and devoid of interesting finds.
You can find the Montana Agate Shack website by clicking this link! You can find their Facebook page here.
The Montana Agate shack Etsy shop also has some neat examples of their finds and work, such as the polished moss agates pictured below!
Thanks a bunch to Mr. White for sharing his knowledge and time with us!
