Plevna School Board Approves Four-Day Week

The Plevna School Board approved a four-day school week for the 2024-2025 school year at their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night.

Prior to the meeting, the board held an hour-long work session about the four-day week. During the meeting, the board approved the motion to adopt the week unanimously (one board member absent). The board then formed a Four-Day Week Committee consisting of Superintendent Dennis Gerke along with a teacher from each school level- elementary, junior high, and high school, who will begin work on implementation of the four-day week.

According to Gerke, the four-day week will be an ongoing agenda item prior to school starting again in August.
