Five individuals who were transported to Fallon Medical Complex after a chemical spill at Plevna School Monday, May 6th, have all been medically cleared.

Plevna School was evacuated Monday morning after the chemical spill was reported, and all students and faculty were accounted for. According to Fallon County Undersheriff Nic Eisele, during the course of an investigation into the spill “a chemical was discovered in an area of the school” which “created a respiratory hazard in a localized area.”

“I would like to thank all of the work and assistance from Plevna School, Fallon County Sheriff’s Office, Plevna Fire, Fallon County Ambulance, Fallon County DES, Custer County Fire, Fallon County Community Health and Fallon County Medical Complex,” said Eisele.
